I have a job. Basically, it's telemarketing, but I'm trained not to tell people that because technically I don't sell anything. And its true, I don't sell anything, I just ask people for their money to get nothing in return. How's that for awesome? Anyways, calling total strangers does have its perks (and it's downsides). Here are some things I have encountered thus far.
-voicemail that said "Jesus loves you so much, that he died for you. Please leave a message."
-a woman that told me her son and husband had recently been hit by a drunk driver. (Sad)
-have called several people that graduated from my college with degrees in 'home economics'
-I called Dick Cheney (NO JOKE, his wife when to graduate school in Colorado)
-I had a co-worker who had a woman on the phone who was declaring her "blackness" and kept declaring that "I ain't white, I ain't white!"
That's the most memorable things I can think of to date. Also, there is a british guy who works there and I am convinced that his cute little accent gives him a leg up.

Every Tuesday and Thursday....
Every Tuesday and Thursday I have class at 9:30 in the morning. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I see this one particular couple parting ways. Every Tuesday and Thursday I have to see this one particular couple smooching and saying goodbye like they are not going to see each other ever again. Ever. Seriously. They kiss and canoodle, and treat each other like puppy dogs. It's disgusting. I understand that people in a relationship kiss in public and say goodbye, but come on, I don't need to hear "I'm leaving on a jet plane" when I watch people part ways. And I also don't need other people rubbing it in my face that I am in fact, single. I'm certainly looking forward to tomorrow.
UPDATE: did see couple last Tuesday, and if I'm lucky, maybe I'll see them tomorrow.
