Flowers

Random acts of kindness never cease to amaze me (probably because they are so rare). Anyways, today I joined a couple friends at the Boulder Farmers Market, which by the way, is fabulous and everyone should check it out. I was looking at some beautiful flowers, just admiring them and asked my roommate if I should get one, because one was only a dollar. She said yes, so I started looking further to pick one out. The nice man behind the table told me would give me a bundle of 3 of some of the less than perfect ones, like the one that had been nibbled by a deer and the other that had lost the bottom of the stem. When I tried to give him money he told me no, and when I tried to give just 1 dollar he told me to keep my money. I walked away with 3 beautiful flowers in my hand with money still in my pocket, and this nice old man had just made my whole day. I am a firm believer that if everyone was as generous and nice like this old man with buckets of flowers than everybody would probably be a whole lot happier.
